On May 22nd, Professor Nagai Yukari, Vice President of Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), visited Dalian Polytechnic University (DPU). Professor Li Rongde, President of DPU, had a cordial meeting with the guest. Relevant responsible persons of International Office, School of Information Science and Engineering, School of Art and Design, and School of International Education also attended the meeting. The visit aims at promoting the academic and research cooperation between the two institutes. During the visit, Professor Nagai Yukari also interviewed DPU applicants of 2017.
Over the meeting, responsible persons of International Office, School of Information Science and Engineering, School of Art and Design, and School of International Education, exchanged their ideas on cooperation with Vice President Nagai Yukari. They expected that deeper and diverse cooperation with JAIST could be established in the future.
Over the meeting, President Li Rongde first extended a warm welcome to Vice President Nagai Yukari and thanked her for the efforts and support she had made to promote the exchanges between DPU and JAIST. Then he looked back the history of exchange. He said that five DPU teachers were studying for their Doctorate at JAIST, which greatly boosted the internationalization of teaching faculty. He also expected current successful exchanges in the art field could lead to deeper and broader collaboration and cooperation in the future.
